In Our World
We use Power-Poles like some folks use shoes. Gotta have them. Our Power-Poles get used allot and we are completely impressed with the longevity we get out of them even in our world. With a scheduled maintenance program our Power-Poles stay in perfect working order every day of the year and last seemingly forever. For us, thats unheard of for any product.
We are rarely in deeper water than 6 ft fishing and being in one place is almost as important as being able to move. sitting quietly for an ambush being able to anchor ourselves to the bottom quickly and quietly is hugely important to the success of our anglers and their ability to catch fish. The Power-Poles do that very well. With just the click of a button on our remote controls we set to the ground and make it happen.
Bay boats are kind of heavy. Winds can blow and currents make for some rough conditions here in Key West day in and day out. One Power-Pole does the job just fine for our needs but we like to have two. With two Power-Poles we are able to not only "Stake out" or "anchor" quickly but also allow us to use angles for our fly fishermen or to hold the boat at an angle to a current to ensure a special cast is made the way we want it to. It seems like not such an important feature but trust me, once you have it you will always have two.
We have used every model of Power-Pole that JL Marine has made. The blades are our favorite for our bay boat applications. A different design the blades offer more rigidity and use the C-Monster pumps with built in remote control. Most of our Yellowfin 24 Bay Boats have the 10ft Blades that will stop our boats cold in 8 ft of water without a problem. Larger hose diameter and larger pumps make them super fast and very strong. The Power-Pole Blades have become standard equipment on all of our boats.
Check out the Key West flats fishing that we do using our Power Pole Blades.
If you are considering a bay boat, flats boat or any boat that will need to anchor in shallow waters simple and easy.. Get the Power-Poles. The cost is well worth the convenience and you will be glad you did.
