A Dream Catcher Charters Orriginal fishing tournament- Our anglers love to participate in this tournament. Especially our Group Fishing Trips that have many different levels of experience. This fishing tournament offers the best in diversity for species and point values offering all levels of experience a change to compete on an even playing field.
The species hunt encourages our fishing guides to push themselves and thier anglers to catch as many different species for points.
All fish caught in the Dream Catcher Charters Species Hunt are released. Catches are verified by the fishing guide and ties are won by time.

We are proud to not only participate in this event but Dream Catcher Charters was the title sponsor 2012, 2013 and 2014. A long standing tradition here in Key West for almost 50 years we are proud to be a part of.
Each one of our anglers that fish with us from April through November are registered to compete automatically in this year long event with an awards banquet held in January every year to celebrate the winners. Many species are on the board for this event year round. With awards for most, largest, pee wee, junior, female and adult divisions.
No need to kill fish for this event as there is a release division. But fish are allowed to be taken if they are legal.
 Dream Catcher founder Capt. Steven Lamp has participated in this even every year since 1994 - 2015. A flats fishing only tournament fished from flats fishing boats in polable depth of waters for the Key West big three in the month of September. Tarpon, Permit and Bonefish. Some of the best flats fishing guides in South Florida fish this event with anglers from all over the world. Many celebrities fish this event as well making it a really fun time.
