Cobia Fishing With Hogy
Using bait for cobia is easy. Catching one on artificial can be tough. You just don't know if they are laying low or going to eat on top and generally you only get a shot or two to make it happen. Use a Hogy. I lighter lead head and black, white or the green works awesome. The deeper wrecks I like the white as it shows up better in the deeper waters. Cobia cannot turn them down..
Grouper Fishing With Hogy
The heavier lead head and that super sharp hook make grouper fishing with Hogy a snap. Strap on a 7" jigging series bait and let her down the the reef you are working I prefer White. WHAM. they hit it hard on the drop. Hold on though. We have noticed the dominant grouper of the reefs we work are the ones hitting the Hogy and the smaller fish are eating live baits.
So, as you can see, Hogy Lures are the "Go To" baits for us here in Key West. We feel that with the Hogy advantage our fishing clients have more of an advantage with more opportunities.
